Happy Birthday to Me

Monday was my b-day and it was a pretty good one, all considering. There for a while, I was thinking that I was going to become a mommy on my b-day, but it didn't work out that way. We did have a little scare and ended up at the hospital because I couldn't feel Brady moving anymore. BUT, everything is OK and Brady is doing just fine. So after that was over, Lance took me to Olive Garden (yumm!) and then we went to a movie (probably our last one for a while). We saw Indiana Jones and it was pretty entertaining.

Now for the exciting part - I made it to 39 weeks!!! It's just so unbelieveable to me that Brady is due in 6 days. If he doesn't come on his own by his due date (June 3rd), then the doctor is going to induce me on June 4th (Wednesday). So, no matter what, we will get to meet Mr. Brady in 1 week. We are so excited to meet him and I know everyone else is too.

Below is a picture from Monday.

37 weeks and Brady's finished room

Here are some recent pictures. The first couple are of me at 37 weeks in Brady's room (standing where the glider will go). The rest are of Brady's room, which is pretty much finished. The only thing were missing is the glider - which is supposed to be here by May 30th.

Our Week of Baby Showers

Sunday - Frisco Shower

Wow, what a great week we had. It all started on Sunday, April 27th. My step-mom, sister and good freind/neighboor threw us a shower here in Frisco. It was such a lovely event and we received lots of wonderful gifts. This one was women only (sorry guys) except for Lance and my dad, who made quick appearances, but were also very quick to duck out. Click on the below link to see some pictures.

Thursday - Lifegroup/Church Shower

On Thursday, May 1st, all of the girls in our lifegroup gathered at Macaroni Grill here in Frisco and we enjoyed a great dinner together. It was a great time and everyone brought the cutest gifts for Brady. There are 3 other couples in our lifegroup that are also expecting, so I am looking forward to many more lifegroup showers to come! Sorry, no pictures from this event, I forgot to take my camera (I just blame it on "pregnesia".)

Friday - JCPenney Work Shower

On Friday, May 2nd, we had a shower at my work. And Lance was able to make it to this one. It was such beautiful weather and so the event was held outside on the patio there on the JCPenney campus. It was a great time, Lance got to meet all of my wonderful co-workers and we received so many wonderful (much needed) gifts. Also, a work friend of mine, Michelle, who is on maternity leave right now, was able to make it and she brought her beautiful 8 week old daughter too. Talk about getting baby fever!!! My friend, Sharon, took lots of great pictures, click the link below to see a slideshow.

 Saturday - Liberty Hill Shower

Friday night, me, Lance, my sister Michelle and my brother-in-law, Lance drove down to Liberty Hill. The guys got up early on Saturday morning to get in a quick round of golf, while us ladies slept in (and it was so nice too). Saturday afternoon, we headed over to the Winter's house for our final shower. The Winters' family have been long time friends of the Jones'. Anne and Sherman (mom and dad) have been friends with Mary Lyn and Roy for many years. They have 2 daughters, Jennifer, who is Lance's age and Kerri, who is a little younger. In fact, Anne hosted a baby shower for Mary Lyn when she was pregnant with Lance. Now, she and Jennifer and Kerri are hosting our baby shower (I think that's pretty cool). Anyway, we had a great time and got to see many friends and family. There were 2 other babies at the shower, Ian who is 6 weeks old and Triston who is 6 months old. It was so much fun seeing everyone and opening all of our wonderful gifts.

Thank you to everyone who came to our showers and who have sent us the best gifts ever! We are so blessed to have such great friends and family to help us get started with our extended family. We love you all!
