Learning how to sit

Brady is learning how to sit. It will be a while before he can actually sit by himself, but I am so proud of him nonetheless. We put a Boppy around his hips and legs to give him some stability and then let him work on sitting. For the first few minutes he can sit for about 30 seconds or so before falling over, but then after a while he gets tired and can only sit a few seconds before he goes toppling over. He is just so awesome and he amazes us with every new little thing.

Sherri's Going Away Party

My cousin, Sherri, and her husband, Austin, are moving to Japan!! Austin is in the Navy and they have lived in many places since getting married, including Hawaii. Their new adventure will begin the first of October in Japan and they will be there about 2 years.

We had a small get-together at my grandma's house last Friday to wish them well. Lance couldn't make it because of Football, but almost everyone else was able to make it. Grandma, Grandpa, my dad and step-mom, Aunt Susan, Sherri and Austin, Katie and Mike (my other cousin and her husband), Brady and myself. Sherri and Brady

Brady had his first school pictures taken at daycare on September 23 and they are so cute! He was about 3.5 months old here:

We've got spirit, yes we do!

We've got spirit, how 'bout you?!?

Brady has been showing off his team spirit lately. First, on a random day he wore his UT stuff to daycare. He got so many comments - most of them went something like "Oh Brady, you are so cute - even though you are wearing UT!" Yeah, it turns out we are the only UT fans in his class. We have 3 Tech fans (i know - crazy!), 2 OU fans and a Nebraska fan. Anyway, it was so much fun that the teachers decided to do a team spirit day today! So, Brady got to wear his other UT outfit :) We would have put him in his Tarleton stuff, but he's already out-grown it!

Here is his first outfit that sparked Spririt Day at Daycare

Here we are today on Spirit Day!

Then, on Tuesday we met up with MaLyn (Lance's mom) and went to Lance's game. Brady wore his "Future Panther" bib that the AD's got for him. It was so much fun. We didn't make it the whole game as it ran into Brady's bedtime, but the panthers won their first game 18-14 and also their second game 28-6.

Last night Brady supported his love of all sports with his new PJ's. That's right, we had to go buy some 6 month PJ's because his feet were about to rip out of his 3 month PJ's. What are we going to do with this boy growing so much? My dad used to tell me he was gonna put a brick on my head at night so I wouldn't grow anymore, Im thinking thats a good idea :)

And baby makes 3! That is what I like to think the "03" stand for :)

2 month pictures

The company that took Brady's pictures in the hospital, Our365, called and said that since we bought a package of the hospital pictures, we were eligible to have them come out to our house and take more pictures of Brady. They also gave us a free 8x10 and no obligation to buy anything else. We thought that sounded like a great deal so we did it.

We didn't purchase any pictures because the cheapest package was about $300 (now we know why they offer to come out for free), but we did take advantage of the free prints they offered. Here they are:

Well, he WAS doing better

Now he has an ear infection :( We had a great time Saturday night, Brady was feeling much better, we went to see Mimi and Pawpaw, then Church and then lifegroup after that. He did great the whole time. We got him home a little after his bedtime and he went straight to bed. Then at 12:30 he woke up screaming. He didn't stop until 8:15 the next morning when we finally gave him some tylenol. The poor thing, the longest he stopped crying was for about 30 minutes - and that was b/c he had cried himself to sleep. He was so tired, you could tell he just wanted to go to sleep, but he was in pain. He even whimpered in his sleep.
Anyway after the tylenol kicked in he slept for about 3 hours. When he woke up we took him to the doctor. Sure enough, ear infection! The doctor said it's probably from being so congested for so long. Now he has some antibiotics and he was able to sleep last night really well. In fact, he's been asleep now for over 13 hours (I guess he's catching up from the night before).
So, were still not positive what we are going to do about daycare. We kinda have something in the works, but I don't want to post it before it is final (don't want to ginx it or anything). One things for sure, he's home for the next 2 days at least so he can get better!
Sorry for all the gloomy posting lately!
Please excuse my look - no sleep, no shower and baby spit-up. But I wouldn't trade any of it for the world!
Here he is looking handsome and feeling well too!

Doing Better...

Just a quick post to let everyone know that Brady is feeling better now. He still has some lingering congestion, but that's about it.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers :)
