Daddy's 30th Birthday

Happy Birthday Daddy!  Me and Brady love you so much and are so happy to celebrate your 30th year with you.  We wish you the best in your next 30 years!

We had a 30th Birthday/New Years Eve Party at our house on December 31 (Daddy's birthday), but we had so much fun that we forgot to take any pictures or do the birthday cake.  By special request from the birthday boy himself, we had cheesecake and it was yummy.  Here are some pictures from the next day when we actually did remember to do the birthday cake:

Sunday Funday

Sunday morning, we woke up and decided to try one of the churches on our "try-out" list.  But, once we drove by and saw only 4 cars in the parking lot, we decided to skip it.  (Side note: we don't think there is anything wrong with small churches, but we are looking to connect with people and make new friends, so it just isn't right for us right now).

Anyway, on our way back to the main road, we drove by another one of the churches on our list, so we decided to give that one a try.  Only problem is, it was 10:45 and when we walked in we found out that it had started at 10:00.  So, we left and decided to go back another day.

Third times a charm (or so we thought) - we decided to go to Lance's parent's church since we could still make it in time.  But, we got there and discovered one lonesome car in the parking lot.  Turns out they decided not to have church that morning since they had just done a Christmas Eve service a few days before.  But that one lonesome car ended up being Lance's dad (he didn't get the memo either) and so we all just decided to give up and go to lunch :)

After lunch, we decided to let Brady test drive his new wagon.  We loaded up and headed to the park (just 2 blocks from our house).  To top off our Sunday Funday, Brady got to have some chocolate pudding for snack. I think he enjoyed it, what do you think?

Enjoy these pictures from our fun adventure:

Merry Christmas 2009

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas - we sure did.  The weekend before Christmas we went to Eldorado and got to see Lance's Granny and Pa.

Then we headed back and we were home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  My parents and Lance's parents came over to our house for the festivities.
Christmas Eve:  We put Santa's key outside so he would have a way to come inside and sat out cookies for Santa to enjoy.

Christmas Morning: Santa brought Brady a new wagon and a new chair and ottoman.  Ma Lyn and Pa Roy got Brady a stick horse, "dreds" from their Jamaica trip and a Radio Flyer tricycle.  Mimi and Grandpa got him a cool red piano.  He also got a basketball goal, a ride on car, a ball popper and golf clubs.  Whew - Brady must have been a good boy all year to have earned all these great gifts!

Family Pictures - Christmas 2009

These next 3 are the best because of the story that goes with them.  The picture place wanted us to do these "Santa cookies and milk" pictures.  The first one captures the image they were going for.  But then Brady realized the cookies were fake and he was not happy about it.  He proceeded to then throw a fit, and therefore we wrapped up the photo session. He looks so sad in the last picture - poor thing! But, don't feel too sorry for him, he eventually got a real cookie later that night :)
