18 month check-up

Yep, Brady is 18 months old.  I just can't believe it!  We tried a new pediatrician this morning and I think we've finally found a good fit for us.  Overall, Brady is doing great (language, motor skills, social skills, development all looks good).  Here are his stats:

Weight: 24 lbs, 7 oz (25%)
Height:  32.75 in (70%)
Head:   46.7 cm (20%)

I'm finding out something interesting about this area - it seems not a lot of people are FROM here, most people MOVE here.  Our new pediatrician is actually from McKinney (small world!).  She has a daughter that is a few weeks younger than Brady and guess what?  We had the same OB in Frisco and the same doctor delivered our children.  She also knew Brady's pediatrician from Frisco and his ENT doctor.

We talked for a while and I really liked her bedside manner and how she dealt with Brady.  Best of all, my appointment was at 9:00 and I was talking to the doctor by 9:10!  It was a wonderful experience.

Brady and I both got our seasonal flu and our H1N1 vaccines.  It was a tough decision, as vaccines are very scary and there are so many pros and cons for either way.  At the end of the day, its a lot like insurance, maybe one day you'll need it, but maybe you won't!  Anyway, since we are both in the high risk group and since Baby Girl will be arriving during flu season, we decided to go ahead and get vaccinated.

I guess that's all for today.  We are very close to finalizing Baby Girl's name, so stay tuned!
