Christmas at Pa Roy and Ma Lyn's

We headed down to Pa Roy and Ma Lyn's house on Sunday and stayed until Thursday. We had a great time and Brady once again raked in a bunch of goodies. Here are a few pictures from opening gifts:

The next day we got up and took group photos for Pa Roy and Ma Lyn's new years cards. Overall, we took over 100 pictures so I won't post them all here, but here are a few of the best ones.

Growing up so fast

Big Boy Car Seat
Brady has moved up to his big boy car seat. It's much more comfortable for him, but alot more difficult for us. His comfort comes first though!

Lovey Selection
I get these emails from BabyCenter every week that tell all about what milestones and such Brady should be at for his age. Anyway, this week it told me that Brady will start to get attached to a stuffed animal or lovey and that it is actually good for them and helps with seperation anxiety. SOOOO...we decided to lay them all out and let Brady pick one. So far, he likes them all and doesn't really show a preference to one. I guess only time will tell.

Hair, Hair, Everywhere
Brady's hair is coming in more and more each day. The other day while giving him a bath, I decided to see what he would look like with a spike. He is just such a cutie, I can't get enough. And that is his aligator bath toy. He LOVES this toy and plays with it every time he takes a bath. He even takes it with him after the bath and plays with it while we get him dressed. Maybe that is his lovey?!?!

Starting Peas

He is so excited, he knows he's getting ready to eat. But the poor thing thinks its his cereal, which is what he usually gets when we put him in his chair.
Wait a second, that doesn't smell quite right...
Eeewww!!
I do NOT like peas!!!

My poor baby ended up throwing up his peas this day, he really did not like them. But, they say to keep trying even if the baby really hates something. So, we've been giving him some peas everyday and he tolerates them now. Next veggie to try - green beans!!

Christmas at Grandpa and Mimi's

Christmas Day we headed over to my parents house for Christmas lunch. There was quite a crowd including myself, Lance and Brady, Mimi (my step-mom) and Grandpa (my dad), Corey, Julie and Lexi (my step-brother, his girlfriend and her daughter), Uncle Rick and Grandmother Mary (my grandma).

Santa came to Mimi and Papa's house too and left the Leap Frog Musical Table for Brady. At the moment he was a little preoccupied with his previous toy (a remote control with a strap) - but I know he will eventually love the musical table (as soon as Mommy and Daddy put it together for him)
He really got the hang of opening gifts:
Brady got his own MP3 player:

Christmas Morning

We had Christmas Morning here at our house with just myself, Lance and Brady. I can't explain the joy we felt spending our first Christmas together as a family. Here are some pictures:

Opening his stocking. Santa left some Desitin for Brady in his stocking - ALL RIGHT, thats just what he wanted, LOL!!!

On to the next gift. He really loved taking the paper out of the bag. What is it??  It's a toy with a suction cup on the bottom to go on his highchair. He just loves itHe also got some UT pajamas

He loves them! Santa brought Brady the Rainforest Jumperoo!!! I have heard so many wonderful things about this thing so I am glad Santa was able to get it. So far it has not let us down, Brady LOVES to jump in his jumperoo!

Christmas at the Brown's

We had Christmas with my sister and her family at her house. It has been so long since we have been able to get together and so this was a great time. My nephews, Dylan (14), Dakota (11) and Austin (3) were all there and all the kids had a great time together.

First we watched some football and snacked on some yummy snacks, then we had a great rib and steak dinner and last, but not least, we opened presents. It was Brady's first time to open a present. He didn't really understand what was going on, but it sure was fun for Mommy and Daddy.

Dylan and Dakota soaking up some Brady time
Uncle Lance with Brady
Isn't this priceless? We were trying to get a group picture of the kids and Brady was not having any part of it. He desperatly needed a nap:
Is this not the sweetest picture ever? Austin was trying to calm Brady down.

More attempts at a group picture:

And the winner is....

Look what I found under the tree

I put Brady down on the floor to play and ran to the restroom and when I came back, Brady had made his way accross the room over to the Christmas tree. I can't think of a more amazing gift to be under the tree. He looks so mischevious and cute!!!

Diaper Box Derby

Who says you need toys to have a good time? We put Brady in his diaper box and pushed him around the house. He wasn't too excited about being pushed around, but he thought it was so much fun to sit in the box and play with his toys.

First Place in Frisco tournament

Lance's basketball team won first place in the Frisco tournament this year. Brady and I are so proud of him, he is a great coach and he gets better and better every year.
