First Road Trip

We ventured out on our first road trip last weekend. We went to Eldorado, Texas (about 45 miles SW of San Angelo), which is where Lance's family (both mom and dad's side) lives. One-way, the trip is 340 miles (about 6 hours). Lucky for us, Stephenville is about mid-way and it's a great chance for us to stop on our old stomping grounds, see some friends and enjoy some of the food we miss so much. Brady did SO good! He really surprises me sometimes - he is just the best baby ever!

We headed out on Friday and we made it from Frisco to Stephenville without stopping. Once we got there, we met our friend Lisa at Pastafina, where all of us filled up our tummy's (including Brady). We then made it all the way to Brady, Texas (of course we had to get a picture of Brady in Brady) where we all stretched our legs and Brady ate again. With the exception of the 2 stops, Brady slept most of the time. When he did wake up and got a little fussy, we just gave him his pacee, turned the radio on some static (not hard to do in the middle of nowhere by the way) and he was out again. Once we got there, we headed to Granny and Pa's house, where they enjoyed meeting their 15th great grandchild.

We spent the night and Lance and his dad got up early to go play in the Annual Eldorado Golf Tournament. Saturday afternoon all the Jones's (Lance's aunts, uncles, cousins and 2nd cousins) came out to Granny and Pa's to meet Brady. It was a great time and Brady did so good. Sunday morning we headed off to church where Brady was a hit - we even got a shout out during the opening announcements :)
Lance and his dad finished up in their golf tournament and we started the drive back at about 7 pm. The drive back was alot like the drive there...2 stops in Brady and Stephenville (eating at Montana's this time) and then home. We got in at about 1:30 am and I think we were all 3 in dreamland by 1:45.
